privé salon orlando

here at privé we crush on a lot of things, but nothing compares to our love for stylists. to us, they make the world go round. aka a v big deal.

we’re giving a shout-out to one of our favorite salons, privé salon orlando. we talked with jamie, the color director of the salon, as well as several stylists. we’re bringing you all of the ins and outs of the transformations they create everyday.

meet the fab team of privé salon orlando

what’s your background story?

i have worked as a colorist for 15 years. i have now been at privé salon orlando for 11 years and i have loved watching the team and salon grow and evolve. i am the color director, which means i get to teach the new talent and develop their skills. i have had toni&guy, l'oréal and wella training and continue my training going to several classes all the way from new york to la and miami. i enjoy going to classes and getting to work with new people, it's fun to find a new way of doing something and being able to bring it back to the salon.

what is your salon best known for?

i think we are known for our beautiful, classic, and effortless hair—and maybe coming in to feel pampered!! we have several clients that come in sometimes once or even twice a week to get their hair done (i secretly think it’s just because they like us so much.) for a long time we were known for our cuts. now i feel that we’re becoming very well known for color. our stylists and colorists are amazing and, as a departmentalized salon, they definitely make sure that everything works together.

it looks like the paparazzi likes you, tell us more.

we don't like to name drop but our work has been featured in several magazines and we've been lucky enough to work with several celebrities, in addition to hosting some jaw dropping events. we've also been featured in salon todays top 200, orlando business journal reader’s choice, orlando style magazine reader’s choice, orlando magazine best of orlando, and orlando city voter top salon, just to name a few.

we love to #careforall and so do you, twinning. how is the salon involved with local charities?

it's so important to give back, so we really like to participate in as much as possible. one of the biggest ways is our involvement with runway to hope, a foundation that focuses on childhood cancer. we've been doing events with them for the past 10 years and it's been so rewarding. honestly, there's nothing better in the world than to see the faces of the kids light up! definitely check out their site at

what three words would you use to describe the atmosphere in the salon?
