getting a good night’s sleep is easier said than done. whether you are working countless hours in your office or binge watching your favorite netflix series, it is easy to neglect your beauty rest. we’ve all heard of sleep deprivation wreaking havoc on our skin or mood, but did you know that it could be damaging your hair too? here are three ways that a lack of sleep could be affecting your hair, and how to fix it.

another factor that contributes to hair loss is a lack of human growth hormone. hgh is a hormone released by your pituitary gland and is responsible for cellular regeneration. over 75% of hgh hormone is secreted while you sleep. therefore, when you deprive yourself of those extra hours of rest, it can lead to hair thinning.
