we have a girl crush

01.15.2018

let’s talk about our crushes. we'll try to forget about zac efron and ryan gosling for a second. we are crushing on the browgal for obvious reasons - everyone knows that when your brows are done, no matter how much makeup you’re wearing, you look put together. Not only do they help us with our brow confidence, they have amazing brow education right at your fingertips and are backed by tonya crooks who is basically a brow goddess.

the browgal herself

a little backstory on tonya and the reason for our crush. tonya graduated with honors from art school with a concentration in drawing and painting. she traveled to paris to study the fine art of makeup and fell in love (so jealous). her travels led her back to l.a. where she started working as a makeup artist and taking brow clients in her kitchen. she ended up with her first celebrity client, molly sims, who later coined tonya as “the browgal.” as they say, the rest is history! tonya became every celebrity's go-to browgal. fast forward to now - she has two brick and mortar locations as well as a full product line. talk about hustle.

eyebrow pencil

so why the eyebrow pencil and highlighter as our brand crush? we’ll tell you. these sweat and smudge proof pencils are the holy grail as they are blendable and easy to define the shape of your brow. they are perfect for the beginner brow girl or the expert. also, the shades were made specifically for celebrities such as megan fox and fergie. #soglamorous.

highlighter

it gets even better with the highlighter. the shimmer perfectly accents your brow shape, but even acts as a miracle worker for all areas of the face. one tip we learned while visiting the melrose location, is the highlighter is perfect under the eyes if brunch just so happened to turn into happy hour the day before.
